People & Talent Manager

As HIVE approaches its next phase of growth, we’re looking for a People & Talent Manager to help us build the team, systems and culture that will support the business long term.
2. Purpose of Role:
This is a hybrid role combining Talent Acquisition and People Operations. You will be responsible for attracting great people to HIVE, onboarding them effectively, and putting in place simple, scalable HR foundations that support a strong culture and high performance.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working closely with founders and leadership, and who is comfortable operating in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.
3. Key Role Responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition
Partner with the CEO and senior leadership to understand hiring needs across Hive’s businesses
Draft and refine job descriptions aligned with Hive’s culture and growth plans.
Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including:
Candidate sourcing and screening
First-round interviews
Coordination with hiring managers
Offer management and onboarding
Manage relationships with external recruiters where required.
Help shape Hive’s employer brand through clear, consistent messaging and candidate experience.
People Operations & HR
Own employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
Implement and maintain core HR policies (leave, WFH, conduct, performance, etc.).
Monitor and manage leave, WFH requests, and basic HR administration.
Maintain employee records and HR systems.
Act as a first point of contact for employees on people-related matters.
Support leadership with performance management cycles and feedback processes.
Coordinate with legal and finance on contracts, compliance and payroll matters (no payroll processing required).
Culture & Engagement
Help define and reinforce Hive’s culture, values and ways of working.
Drive simple engagement initiatives, rituals and team moments.
Support internal communications and employee experience.
Be a trusted, approachable presence for the team.
4. Ideal Candidate Profile:
6–10 years’ experience in a People, HR, or Talent role, ideally within a start-up, scale-up, or entrepreneurial environment.
Strong experience in hands-on recruitment.
Solid understanding of HR fundamentals and best practices.
Excellent communication skills and high emotional intelligence.
Comfortable operating with ambiguity and building processes from scratch.
Practical, pragmatic and culturally aligned rather than overly corporate.
Experience in the UAE (or similar markets) is a plus.
